Class description

Welcome to the Root Cause Analysis for Incident Investigation Course Series. This is a 1-day course providing a basic introduction to the root cause analysis system for incident investigation followed by a 2-day advanced course.

Thousands of workers are injured on the job each year. Accidents in the workplace are preventable- so why do these incidents still happen? There are many reasons why. Root cause analysis identifies approaches, techniques, and tools to uncover the systematic causes of a workplace injury, death and or near miss. Incidents rarely result from a single mistake or unsafe act. Effective root cause analysis helps organizations understand contributing factors, identify system weaknesses, and develop meaningful corrective actions.

Root Cause Analysis for Incident Investigation - Basic

This interactive one-day course introduces participants to the foundational principles of root cause analysis and incident investigation. Leave with a basic understanding of the procedure for incident investigation using root cause analysis and an introductory understanding of appropriate preventive measures and corrective actions.

Root Cause Analysis for Incident Investigation Course Series: Attend the Basic one-day course and follow with the Advanced two-day course. The Basic and Advanced courses are scheduled back-to-back for participants to maximize focused training time with concurrent course offerings.
