This certificate is for construction industry safety and health professionals who are starting out in the field and have supervisory or leadership responsibilities in the industry. No experience is required.

Certificate requirements: Six courses: 5 required, plus 1 of 2 electives.
Time to complete: 88 to 92 contact hours, depending on the elective chosen. The average student takes two years to complete the required coursework.
Cost: Approximately $3,070, depending on the elective chosen (not including potential discounts). 

Note: Courses already completed from the list below may count toward certificate requirements if taken within four years of completing your certificate program.

Courses that are required for more than one certificate program do not need to be repeated.

Elective Courses

Electives cannot be counted toward more than one certificate. If you are enrolled in multiple certificate programs and you complete a course that is an elective for multiple certificates, the course will be counted towards the first certificate for which you have not yet fulfilled the elective requirement(s), based on the certificate enrollment date. Courses that have been taken as part of a certificate program cannot be counted as an elective in another program, unless all other options have been exhausted. For more information, see our FAQ.
