Course pricing and discounts FAQ

Academic students who are currently enrolled for at least 10 credit hours in an undergraduate program or 6 credit hours in a graduate program are eligible for a 50% discount on participating courses. Please submit a current transcript or registration report for verification. Student status eligibility may be renewed semiannually.

Examples that do not qualify for student status:

1. Being enrolled in an online degree program with fewer than 10 undergraduate program credits or 6 graduate program credits per term.
2. Being enrolled in a professional development certificate program.
3. Being enrolled in professional certification courses, such as EMT classes or prepping for the CSP exam.

Verified government employees are eligible for a $50 discount on participating courses. To obtain the Government price for participating courses please email ce@uw.edu or call 206-685-3089.

Group pricing is automatically applied to participating courses when two or more course registrations are purchased for the same course on the same order. Each qualifying registration on the same order is eligible for a $100 discount.

Students who have graduated from a certificate program offered by Occupational Safety and Health Continuing Education (OSHCE) in the UW Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS) are eligible for a $50 discount on participating Pacific Northwest OSHA Education Center courses. This discount is not offered for other certificates issued by other departments at the University of Washington or any other institution. The discount is automatically considered for any student who has completed one or more of our certificate programs.
