Class description

The leading cause of worker deaths on construction sites is falls, and these deaths are preventable.  In addition, fall prevention safety standards were among the top ten most frequently cited OSHA standards in 2014. As part of OSHA’s National Fall Prevention Stand Down, this complementary course provides employers and employees with information on how to recognize potential fall hazards at their work sites and suggests ways to avoid, minimize, control or prevent these hazards whenever possible.

The course focuses on falls to a lower level in both residential and commercial construction settings rather than falls from slips and trips. Special topics include a Q&A panel and building a fall prevention toolkit.

Attendance is limited to 80 participants. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration so others may reserve seats.
