This activity will offer training to employers, staffing agencies and labor representatives on workplace reproductive hazards. It will offer training and tools to help employers develop a reproductive health program as part of their accident prevention program.

• Best practices for controlling occupational exposures of concern for reproductive health
• Strategies for incorporating reproductive health concerns into an accident prevention program.

Bio:

Nancy Beaudet co-directs the University of Washington (UW) Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU). She trains health professionals and the public on pediatric and reproductive environmental health, and addresses questions from clinicians, public health professionals, parents and others on pediatric environmental health exposures. She also directs PEHSU projects, such as federal and state-based efforts to promote pediatric lead screening, and explain the health effects of PFAS in drinking water.

Ms. Beaudet also is an industrial hygienist with the UW Field Research and Consultation Group, providing exposure assessment consultation services to WA State employers. Previously she was a compliance industrial hygienist with OSHA and WA DOSH, and was the exposure scientist for the UW Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic.
