Inspiration to Teach Health and Safety

When asked what inspires him to teach health & safety, Rhett replied:

"My parents were both well known, stand out teachers, as well as successful coaches for their entire career.  Since childhood, I was able to observe them in action and see many people that they positively impacted along the way.  To this day I still see folks who had my parents as teachers or coaches, who come up to them, and thank them for being the best they had ever had, and how their lives were impacted in such a positive way by their influence.

Growing up around educators and coaches, aside from my parents, granted me the opportunity to be around strong leadership.  This gave me a strong desire and passion to help others in the same capacity. Teaching health and safety has allowed me to make a positive impact on people's lives.  Teaching also involves taking on a leadership role. The responsibility of guiding others to do what is right, work as a team, and find solutions, in all aspects of their lives, are a few of the reasons why I enjoy my role as a safety leader."
