Class description

Machine related injuries remain one of the leading causes of serious workplace incidents, but they are also among the most preventable. This interactive two-day course provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify machine hazards, understand WAC and OSHA safeguarding requirements, and evaluate effective methods for protecting employees. Participants will learn to recognize hazardous motions and actions along with the basics of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Participants will evaluate fixed and movable guards, safeguarding devices, and apply machine safeguarding principles.
