Best Practices for Transitioning to Safer Chemicals

The University of Washington Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences Continuing Education Programs is offering a one day professional development course in the Spring of 2014 on best "green” practices for laboratories. Course content will include information on designing for prevention, communication strategies, waste management, and chemical selection and will be targeted to people who are responsible for laboratory management and safety. The purpose of the course is to share best practices and to help improve the selection, evaluation, and use of chemicals in the laboratory.
