INSTRUCTOR HIGHLIGHT

Ed Woodford MS, CSP, CHMM, CIT

Ed Woodford has been involved in Health and Safety development and management for more than 30 years. He is an authorized OSHA outreach instructor for Construction and General Industry, an authorized trainer for the Scaffold Institute of America, and he instructs in EPA hazardous waste and DOT HAZMAT courses.

When asked what inspires him to teach, Ed shared:"I don’t look at it as teaching safety; I look at it as an opportunity to facilitate conversations with the participants about the OSHA standards and different ways organizations comply with them... I have a saying, 'There are different ways to put a ladder against a wall. Just because it's not the way you would have done it does not make it wrong; it makes it different. Start a conversation.'”
